BMS (Battery Management System) IC: Located inside the battery pack; provides cell balancing and protection against overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent
ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) Driver Chip: Drives three-phase brushless motors (core power source)
Wide-Voltage Synchronous Buck (SBEC/UBEC): Converts high-voltage battery power to 5V/3.3V for the flight controller, video transmission system, and camera
Low-Noise LDO: Powers high-precision analog sensors such as GPS, IMU gyroscopes, and magnetometers
High-Voltage Integrated PMIC: For all-in-one drones and small drones, integrating multiple Buck, LDO, and charge management circuits
II. Category 1: Lithium-Ion Battery BMS (Battery Management System) Chips (Battery Protection Boards)
Core Functions
Monitors the voltage of individual lithium-ion cells in a series configuration, balances cell voltages, and provides overcharge, over-discharge, short-circuit, and over-temperature protection. Essential for drone lithium-ion batteries; available in multi-cell balancing and basic protection types.
