Remote Control Video Transmission System

The complete communication system is divided into three major components:
remote control link devices, video transmission link devices, and auxiliary components.
It covers consumer aerial photography drones, FPV racing drones, and industrial drones,
and is categorized into four main solutions: analog video transmission,
digital HD video transmission, long-range data transmission, and 4G/5G video transmission.

    I. Core Components of the Remote Control Link (Ground → Aircraft, Transmission of Control Commands)

    1. Airborne Remote Control Receiver (RX)

    2. Ground-Based Remote Control Transmitter (TX RF Transmitter)

    3. Dedicated Remote Control Antenna

    4. Remote Control Power Amplifier Module (PA)

    Used in the industry for retrofitting long-range drones to amplify RF transmission power and extend communication range;

    Equipped with filters to prevent high-power signals from interfering with the onboard video transmission, GPS, and ESC.

    II. Core Components of Video Transmission Links (Aircraft → Ground, Video Feed + Telemetry)

    Divided into analog video transmission components (FPV racing drones) and digital HD video transmission components (aerial photography / commercial drones)

    (1) Analog Video Transmission Components (5.8 GHz Analog FPV)

    (2) Digital HD Video Transmission Components (DJI OcuSync, Lightbridge, Open-Source Digital Video Transmission)

    (3) Complete 4G/5G Public Network Video Transmission Components (Long-Range Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLoS) Industrial Drones)

    (4) Satellite Video Transmission / Short Message Communication Modules (Special-Purpose Drones)


    III. General-Purpose RF Components (Shared by Remote Control and Video Transmission)

    1. Filters (SAW Filters)

    2. Duplexers / Combiner

    3. Power Dividers, Diversity Switches

    4. Shielding Enclosures, Absorptive Materials

    5. Coaxial Feedlines (RF Coaxial Cables)


    IV. Components Specific to Data Telemetry (Standalone Data Transmitter)

    Primarily used in large-scale crop protection and fixed-wing surveying drones, operating independently from the video transmission system

    1. Airborne Data Transmitter (433/900 MHz)

    Two-way serial communication; transmits only GPS coordinates, battery status, fault alerts, and flight path commands; does not transmit video;

    V. Auxiliary Circuit Components

    1. LDO Voltage Regulator IC

    Provides a clean, regulated 3.3V/5V power supply to the RF module and receiver; voltage fluctuations can cause signal instability;

    2. TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) Diodes

    Protect the RF interface to prevent electrostatic discharge from damaging the RF chips;

    3. Pin Header / Terminals, Shielded Cables

    Use shielded cables for video signal lines and RF control lines to reduce interference;

    4. Indicator LEDs, Push-Button Switches

    For channel switching, power adjustment, and signal status indicators.

    2. Ground Data Transmission Radio

    Connects to a ground station computer to send flight paths and receive operational data;

    3. Compatible Data Transmission Antennas: Coil antennas, Yagi directional antennas.
