The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) of a drone serves as its “motion-sensing nervous system” and is the core sensor of the flight control system. It directly determines the drone’s flight stability and navigation accuracy. Capable of autonomously sensing the drone’s spatial motion without relying on external signals, it is a key component enabling autonomous flight.
